TRF Peruvian Midnight Whisper

Hi, I'm Whisper

TRF Peruvian Midnight Whisper was born on August 27, 2006.She was up nursing very quickly and hasn’t stopped running since. She is quite a bundle of energy.

WOW! This little true black girl’s fleece has luster to spare and is “whisper” soft! She has obviously inherited her rich, deep black fiber from her sire, Midnight Peruvian Marquis. With her dam being a rare harlequin grey coloring whisper, she also has a strong background of grey.

Whisper promises to be an exceptional full Peruvian, true black female; a rather rare combination.

TRF Peruvian Xochi

Hi, I'm Xochi

TRF Peruvian Xochi was born on July 18, 2006. The name Xochi, pronounced “So Chee,” is derived from the name of the Zapotec Indian Goddess of Weaving, Xochiquetzal.

Weighing 21.2 lbs at birth, Xochi has steadily gained weight and will surely be a large girl when she grows up. Her fleece continues to evolve. Xochi’s color was bay black at birth, then changed to a rich mahogany and now appears to be dark rose grey. Her dense fleece is exhibiting some bold crimp with a great deal of luster.

Xochi is very straight and in good proportion. Even now, she carries herself with a confident poise that you rarely see in a cria.

She will be one to watch in the spring 2007 shows!

Xochi has been tested and confirmed BVDV free!

TRF Midnight Peruvian Magic

Hi, I'm Magic

TRF Peruvian Midnight Magic was our first cria for the year 2006. He was born April 7, 2006. It was a very chilly, wet and windy day, so it was good that his dam, JLFA Cosette, was smart enough to give birth in the barn!

Magic is a full Peruvian, jet-black male. He has inherited many fine qualities from his sire, Midnight Peruvian Marquis. He is conformationally correct being very straight, tall and dense. His fiber is very crimpy with excellent luster. He was born unassisted and is progressing at an excellent pace.

This little guy should be one to watch in this fall’s show season!

Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus

Due to the growing concern about the spread of the Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus, we have taken steps to have our herd tested for this disease. We have received the results of the PCR tests done at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory on February 9, 2006; it has concluded that all our animals at Timber Ridge Farm are completely free of BVDV. In order to maintain the BVDV free status, it will be our policy in the future that all animals coming to Timber Ridge Farm will be required to be tested for BVD prior to their arrival and be quarantined for two weeks after they arrive.

Meet TRF Peruvian Night Rider!

TRF Peruvian Night Rider

Rider was born just before the sky was totally dark and we were able to see his little silhouette against the remaining light at the horizon. What a sight!
He’s a special little guy, being 5/8 Accoyo and son of Vengador’s Accoyo Tachon. Tachon’s sire is Accoyo Vengador who sold at the Parade of Champions Sale for over $102,000.00.
