Wisconsin Alpaca Farm With Pure Peruvian,
Accoyo Alpacas
Welcome,
and thank you for visiting us at Timber Ridge Farm. We are a
small family farm, nestled among the lush, rolling hills of
south central Wisconsin.
We started raising alpacas in July of 2001. We began our farm
with specific goals in mind. We want all our customers to not
only be satisfied, but absolutely surprised. We made a pledge
to provide our customers with an experience that would make
them glad they chose our farm. This was the beginning of our
"Partners in Excellence Program" The basic idea
is to provide:
· Quality bloodlines from the industry's finest herdsires
· Loveable alpacas with people friendly temperaments
· Excellent customer service and support
Our breeding program consists of using Accoyo bloodlines and
only pure Peruvian genetics. By combining the Accoyo bloodlines
with the pure Peruvian alpaca, we strive to provide our customers
with alpacas that have the conformation and fleece quality that
only both can provide. This will give your fiber the best in
crimp, coverage, density and luster.
Please take a stroll through our site and meet our wonderful
alpacas. Our "virtual" farm will provide you with
a glimpse of our alpacas and the lifestyle we have gained by
having and caring for these wonderful animals. To see the whole
picture and meet our alpacas "up close and personal"

Alpacas are exotic animals originally imported
from South America from the countries of Peru, Bolivia, and
Chile, that are now raised in the United States as livestock
for their fiber.
Alpaca fiber is sheared annually and processed into designer
suits, blankets, and yarn and is highly sought after in the
high fashion industry for its truly fantastic properties. The
fiber is soft as cashmere, and lustrous and shiny as silk, as
strong as wool, and each fiber is hollow inside giving it insulating
properties like a thermos. Even an extremely thin blanket is
soft, shiny and very warm. Alpacas grow fiber in 28 different
natural shades, including white, black, gray, rose-gray, brown,
and many shades in between.
Owning and raising alpacas on a farm provides a delightful
lifestyle, excellent investment opportunity and tax advantages.
